Tonight, Braden reached another milestone. He finally thanked us for all of our hard work and diaper duty, and expressed his gratitude for us as parents. :-) He opened up his cute little mouth, and after being prompted, as we've been doing with him for a year now, he suprised us by parroting back, "Tank You". We laughed and the more he said it outloud, the more we praised him and clapped. It didn't take him long to become very proud of himself. He walked around with his little puffed out chest and big grin, saying it over and over. He reminded me of E.T. walking around saying, "E.T. Phone Home, E.T. Phone Home"....
Our children are such a huge blessing! And such a small thing, like saying a word for the first time can bring a parent so much joy. It reminded me to be grateful for the gifts that we have in each of them. God has blessed us so much, and although it's our little man that formed the words for the first time, it is my heart that says Thank You for being blessed to be his mother. Bree, Zane, and Braden you bring such joy to our lives.
