I can't even begin to describe what an awesome few days we've had. I don't want to jinx it, but things went better than we hoped. We found a daycare for Braden, and all I can say is ..they offer, a putt-putt golf course, soda shop, two indoor HUGE playground, a water spray park, a water pool area with huge frog slide, several awesome playgrounds, a huge media room with stadium type seating and a HUGE flat screen, a computer lab, arts & crafts room, horseback riding, a soccer field, and all for $7 more per week than just a regular daycare right down the street.
Once Braden turns three he'll be able to cook in the soda shop with the help of a teacher...play putt putt.... they even offer a kindergarten class with 15 to 1 ration, certified teacher, and a kindergarten graduation. We are considering putting Zane there.
The job fair went great, and it seems we have some very promising prospects.
Jon and I love it here. We saw our house, and the pictures don't even begin to do it justice. It is sooooo much nicer than we thought, and the neighborhood.
If we get the jobs we think we are going to - they are tailor-made for us. God is sooo good, and for now we just wait and see. We spent time out at the Riverwalk tonight, ate great mexican food, took a river boat cruise, and now we are in the hotel catching up on phone calls to parents and checking on the kids.
We are so excited about our house, our job prospects, and moving here. It's truly overwhelming and almost seems too good to be true, but we will thank God and just try to count our blessings.
If it weren't for the kids I'd just want to stay here and never leave, but we have to head back to Shreveport to get the kiddos.
One of the best weekends of our lives after births and weddings...We're blessed.
Love,
Dawn & Jon
