Karate Chops

Last night, we finally got by the Karate studio to sign Zane up! He seemed excited and a bit nervous. We talked to the Sensai and then sat and watched the class for a while. Midway through, Bree kept tugging on my arm asking me if she could not do ballet and do Karate with Zane. We saw quite a few girls and several brother/sister duos in the class.
I tried to subdue her at first, saying, "We'll see..." since we really wanted this to be Zane's first sport, but after she continued to pursue it, Jon leaned over and asked Zane if he wanted Bree to do it with him. He lit up like a Christmas tree. He might want to rethink the fact that she's doing it with him later, but maybe the gentle competition and teamwork will be good for them and bring them closer. I guess we'll see what happens.
I did tell Bree that she had to take a back-seat to Zane since this is his first sport, and that although we will be really proud of her, we want to encourage him alot. Zane seemed much more excited about his first class knowing that his sister would be right there beside him.

Here are some pictures of them at home in Gei's.

And Braden getting his attention. I'll have to admit, they are cute in their little Gei's. Now if we can teach them self-control and self-discipline, it will be worth every penny. LOL.

Your karate kids are precious!!! I hope they love every minute of it and learn a lot too.

You sure do sound busy. Just make a list and cross it off, one item at a time. Focus only on the next thing on your list and TRY not to stress about everything else. You know that worry is the one thing that can make you mess up on your tests, no matter how hard you study.

I will pray for you to pass, and remember my little secret "good luck ritual" for when I need to pass a test. I don't want to type it on the web for all to see, but it has something to do with a nickname I had at HU.
